Since its inception, Pinnacle Air has purchased two fixed-base operators (FBOs) and 9 multimillion dollar jets. It logs 50-60 hours of flight time per plane per month. Pinnacle Air's investors surveyed some "key potential customers early on and found that there was not another premier operator in the region with first-class equipment and professionally trained, two-man crews. There also was no competitor with anywhere near the level of liability insurance coverage Pinnacle Air was prepared to offer -- $100 million -- which is critical for a firm that wants to fly corporate executives and the super wealthy across the country.
To date Pinnacle Air has transported passengers to destinations such as the Caribbean, Canada, both U.S. coasts, most major U.S. cities as well as Las Vegas, Mexico, Tunica, Miss. and many other top U.S. business and pleasure destinations. Pinnacle Air will arrange "whatever the customer wants," from limo rides to football tickets. Frequently charter trips involve a four to five-day stays at a destination. The Pinnacle Air fleet includes 6 Lear Jets and 1 Citation and operates on a 135 certificate obtained in 2004 allowing them to carry passengers-for-hire in the charter business. In 2004 Pinnacle Air also received the prestigious Q-Star rating for safety, professionalism and performance. Pinnacle Air IS "America's Premier Air Charter!" |
